As Trustpilot grows, so do our regional successes. Today, it’s Australia’s time for celebration as Trustpilot is now a Google-approved partner for product ratings in Australian Product Listing Ads.
From today, this means Trustpilot’s Product Reviews pack more power than ever before, as product review data is shared with google.com and google.com/shopping.
This gives shoppers vital information to base their purchase decisions, businesses more visibility of their product reviews, and more qualified traffic to merchant advertising.
In March 2015, Trustpilot became a Google-approved product ratings partner in the United States (US), the United Kingdom (UK), France and Germany.
Now, this Australian expansion highlights just how quickly Trustpilot’s online review community is impacting online shopping.
How does it work?
Once Trustpilot’s review data is with Google, product ratings appear on Product Listing Ads on google.com and Google Shopping in the form of a five-star rating system - similar to the rating used by Trustpilot.
Google’s star rating is an aggregate rating for the product, formed by collecting data from a range of sources including merchants, third-party aggregators, users, and review websites like Trustpilot.
Here’s how Product Ratings help
- It helps customers see the overall quality and range of products on the market
- Customers make informed purchasing decisions thanks to a summary of the product quality
- Business can expect increased traffic to their website thanks to the greater product visibility
- With greater visibility, there could be more sales and a better online reputation
